BuildMyPower Privacy and Browser Storage Policy
The initial BuildMyPower release performs generation locally and stores saved creations in the user’s browser. This policy explains what that means.
Browser-based generation
Quirk generation runs in the browser.
Custom keywords are processed in the browser.
Personality quiz answers are processed in the browser.
BuildMyPower does not send a creative prompt to an external AI generation service.
The initial version does not require a user account.
Saved creations
Saved powers and character dossiers use browser storage.
Saved creations remain on the current device and browser unless the user exports them.
Clearing browser data, using private browsing, changing devices, or removing site storage may delete saved creations.
Users can export their saved library as a JSON file.
Users can clear locally stored BuildMyPower data from the saved library section.
Shared result links
A shared result link may contain a validated encoded result, generator version, seed, and configuration needed to reconstruct the profile.
The link does not need to include the user’s full personality quiz answers.
Anyone who receives a shared link may be able to view the encoded fictional result.
Do not place personal, confidential, or sensitive information in custom keywords or character names.
Hosting and technical logs
The hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver the site, such as an IP address, request time, browser information, error data, and security logs.
BuildMyPower does not claim that no technical data exists when hosting infrastructure requires it.
Optional analytics
Analytics are disabled unless the project owner deliberately configures and enables them.
The included event hooks are designed for anonymous action counts such as result generation, export use, and saving.
Generated descriptions and personality quiz answers must not be sent as analytics event properties.
If analytics or advertising services are added later, this policy must be updated to identify the service and its data practices.
Contact email
The Contact page provides the site email address for support, privacy questions, accessibility concerns, and content corrections.
Email providers process messages according to their own policies. Users should not send sensitive personal information in support messages.
